Salute Sergeant Kenny!

Little Kenny has grown up to be a man! I mean he still look quite the puny boy, as is the norm in our family - we all look small due to our 'outstanding' height, but mentally, he is a macho soldier! Hehe..
Oh but he really look so cute here! The camo hat or whatever you call it is so big that it covers half his head! That stupid grin on his face! Well, he can be irritating at times but at this moment, I just love this little man so much!

Well, to others, it might be a small matter to raise rank to be a sergeant, but in our family, it is something! Daddy was only a lance corporal who was promoted merely for formality sake since he cannot possibly be of a rank that equals recruit after serving NS for so long! Thus, the entire family proudly attended brother's parade!

Having to wake up so early is a drag! Nonetheless, it is worth it since it seems to make brother really happy to see the entire family there!

新娘18!

新娘18! This show is really quite nice! I am so hooked onto it that I have no time to blog! Apart from the everyday activities which includes the losing weight part(but the intake seems to outbalance the output=p), I will stay glued to the tv! That means I have no time to upload the photos as yet! But some of the red table peeps have already seen all the photos taken by the 3 different cameras yesterday. The laughter and the rowdiness while viewing the photos was deafening! How can it not be? Especially since we were explaining the various hilarious actions by Weewee and the stories about Mimi raping Weewee etc etc...

OOps... and Dr Huang walked past during one of the spasms of horrendous laughters... Totally lost our image and reputation(if we have any to begin with), Huang's angels!

Yesterday's photo sharing, tennis followed by dinner at Breko was wonderful! But we are all awaiting Bebe's return and we miss him so much! Heard that he thanked those who were absent from the grad night (meaning FiLuMiWee) during his speech and tried to emo people in crying.. Well, we thank you too, Bebe, for being such a wonderful class rep and a bridgeramaniac and a red table member! Come back soon ya!

FiLuMiWee back from trip!

To all the people who have missed us, FiLuMiWee are finally back from the Beijing/HK trip! The trip was truly amazing, and the only disappointment lies in the setting off date of the holiday, which coincides with the grad ball night! Sigh... The 4 of us set off our journey, trying to make people miss us by calling Sisi, Susu and Bebe before we flew... Only Bebe did not pick up our call.. So we made him guilty for choosing sleep over our call by smsing him a stupid message. I guess it did the trick 'cos he sms us right away on the night we arrived in Singapore, at 2am! Must have missed us real hard! Hehe... Anyway I hope that he is enjoying himself in Europe now... We can only see him after 3 weeks... Til then, Bebe! Maybe he will bring back a girl who obeys Hook's law back home! *Winks

I guess I will only upload the photos when I am more free. Now the main objective is to find a job(at the same time do some slacking) and lose some weight.. Anna and Karen ass have commented that I seemed to have put on some weight... Jiesi's church friends have also said that she has grow fatter.. Conclusion: Tennis tomorrow!

By the way, thanks Anna and Karen ass for welcoming me home from the airport even though my flight is so late! Really quite touched by the both of them and it was really a pleasant surprise to see Karen ass at the airport! Thanks asses!!

OOOOOoooo.. I am now officially not a metal-teeth-girl anymore!!! See me smile!

Hectic Day

Today has been a really hectic day. Running to and fro. Ganjiong like the ganjiong spider Bebe (haha). Checking out the exchange rates, buying the necessities, visiting the dentist and buying more cough syrup from the clinic.

Goodness, the exchange rates at Hougang point, Hougang mall and Compasspoint sucks! Probably I seemed like a gullible naive little girl (I was told by someone I looked 14/15 recently) whom they can easily con. I guess they are wrong! For I decided not to patronise them and went ahead to little india with Anna Ass to change all my money with better rates. Thanks Anna, she has been such a babe (for once, I am calling her the babe. PS: But never Karen Horsey Ass as the babe unless you count calling her the fake babe as calling her a babe) The first sms I received this morning is that she(Anna) wants to come pick me up from the airport when I come back. Nevermind that I will be reaching S'pore near midnight only. She threatened that she will come even if I don't want her to. This really touched me. No matter what happens, she will always be there for me. I know that for sure (maybe things will change after she gets married =p). Awww.. Karen Horsey Ass, don't be jealous when you read this.. You know I love you too.. Hahahahaha

Finally, packing is almost, with only my spects which I am wearing now left over to put in my bag. Yippie!

Bebe smsed an emo message just now. Goodness, I just love my honours class! I hope that the graduation ball will be a roaring success and all the people will love playing the games that Bebe and friends pain/bloodstakingly planned (I was the guinea pig and I must said I make great partners with Wee and Lu! It was lots of fun!) Bebe was already emo when he smsed me just now, saying he will miss FiMiLuWee. Got the crying emoticon too! As touched as I was, I couldn't resist laughing out loud. It is just so weird to see the guys more emo than the girls. Nonetheless, I am sure that at the grad ball, everyone who's close to the red tables will be extremely upset. It is really the fullstop to the honours year. If only the trip could have been postponed for a day... Then we could have made it...

If only I could turn back time........

Interview over; BJ/HK upcoming!

Thanks to all the people who were so concerned about my interview! I did my best and I can only hope that my 3 interviewers were satisfied with it. The interview took 1 hour. As much as I loved to talk usually, this 1h of non-stop talking about myself was a little too much for me to handle. By the end of it, while we shook hands and exchange pleasantries before I can leave, I was already thinking, 'Finally I can go get that drink which I needed desperately!'. But it's all over now. Hoping for the best but not carrying too high hopes. =p

Anyway, now the most exciting thing in my life is the upcoming trip! Online discussions, face-to-face discussions.. OMG.. It just makes us more excited! When we were discussing online today, mimi and weewee were flirting away! Weewee said 'kick u' which is actually an endearment to mimi. They are just weird.. (fenfen said weewee is SM kind) Wahahaha The sparks that they create is extremely blinding.

Well, I learnt today that Weewee is really a popular guy/auntie. Sisi's grad gown was chosen by him, Fenfen asked him to go shopping. Fenfen told me that he likes lots of cleavage kind.. Goodness... Aunties also like cleavages?! It's really confusing at times. He looks like quite the 'manly' guy(he's tall and tanned, and we shall stop at that), but he behaves like an auntie. Whatever. He is good at bargaining for cameras too! Even CC who don't know him that well, asked me to ask him when is he free to go camera hunting! This is the first guy (who's not gay as yet) whom girls will gladly want to bring him out on shopping sprees.

Conclusion: The part of the trip with loads of shopping will be amazing with him around! I think we will conquer HK's shopping world with Wee's help! Way to go wee! Wahahaha

Jittery......

I can feel the jitters. I can feel my heart thumping away. The higher the hopes, the more disappointed I will get if things do not go my way. If I fail the interview tomorrow, I not only fail myself, but many other people as well. The person who gave me the hope, my family who have such hopes and faith in me... I hope and pray that I will bring back good news.

Goodness.. It's hard to keep a positive attitude when so much is at stake. But I will try... Good luck to myself!

Happening day!

There are several times today, when I was going to tell about either the Kota Tingi trip, or the bridgeramaniacs, that people comment, 'Yes, I read.' Interesting. I never knew so many people have been checking out my blog on a regular basis. Hope that it is pleasurable to read my writings!

Today was quite awesome! Mimi is back! She rushed back to school in the late afternoon to meet us although she just landed a few hours before. Weewee was late, playing his gunbound... Sisi was pissed that she had to bring 3 tennis rackets and 10 balls, only to find Weewee being 1h late and the thing is, we only booked the court for 2h! So what's new about the punctuality of Weewee? And congrats to Su, who has FINALLY finished his last paper (PS: He went clubbing the night before his paper. Sounds like something that only Cheek will do?)

At the tennis court, while Bebe, Sisi and Weewee were battling it out, the remaining me, Mimi and Su started our usual card game - bridge again. If you are commenting the stupidity of playing card games in some action packed tennis court, please do not! It will only serve to remind me of the ball that whacked me in my forehead. What can I do but to pretend cool and that I was alright?! What an embarrasement!

Nonetheless, I can gladly said that I was not the laughingstock of the group, cos all of us were laughing at Weewee. I really missed the mirth that he brings by just being himself. I am so looking forward to the Beijing/HK trip! Mimi and myself are super duper sure of the amusement and entertainment that will be brought forth by Weewee during our 1 week getaway!

As much as I would like to join these people for dinner tonight, I could not as I was supposed to meet Dor and the rest. It has been ages since I have last saw them. Today was the belated celebration of my birthday. Conversation started with job interviews and such. I guess it has to do with the environment that we are subjected to everyday. The stuff that we talked about are slightly more serious, bitching about work, about boss etc.. Maybe once I start working, I will feel more in sync with them. When.

But oh, the card they gave me, together with the present was amazing! My first ever fossil watch! According to them, it is sorta our tradition to present the birthday girl with a watch as she attempts to join the working society and so it explains my gift! Thanks for the gift ladies!
Oh there was an interesting phenomenon today. Karhon wasn't around with us in the evening, but miraculously, he 'wrote' something for me in the card! And the amazing thing is that, his handwriting is exactly the same as Ms Yip-pu! The only thing I can comment about this bizzarre incident is that Ms Yip has a wonderful imagination!
Spidey tomorrow!

Fireflies, waterfall and more!

Waking up at 6am on a public holiday was a torture. Especially when my nose is running and my airway is itching like mad. Why did I even agreed to go on this Kota Tingi trip with my labbies (excluding Mimi and Lulu)?! I must be crazy! For all I was cursing myself, I still climbed out of bed, for no reason other than the payment already made! Haha.. $$$ *Bleah

The trip was worth the torture. The company was great. Even Mr Ice-cream came along, closing his shop on labour's day, to accompany his gf (How sweet!). Jingjing was not there, much to Zhang Sheng and Xujia's disappointment. Shengbao was part of the group too, enjoying the last of his bachelorhood.
Our group of 10 are all punctual people, thus we reached Malaysia even before the shopping malls were opened, which was the first thing in our itinery. So the tour guide (Belinda is her name, I think) brought us to Danga Bay to waste some time. It was all kampong style wooden houses and each house has its own theme. There was this house that showed the equipments needed to tap latex and process them into rubber sheets. Although these houses were interesting, I was not that keen. I just can't wait for the shopping expedition to start!
Finally! It was shopping time! All the girls (Karen, Huili, Dongmei, Chenwei and me!) went crazy! We were practically running since we only have 1.5h at the gigantic shopping mall, which I have no idea what its name was, nevermind. Lucky me, I managed to rein my impulses in before I made any mistakes. I have to save $$ for Beijing and HK (Yippee!! Can't wait!) So in the end, I only did a pedicure which only cost RM23. Though it was only cheaper than one in S'pore for a few bucks, it felt good to pamper myself!

Afterwhich we went to the Desaru Fruit Farm. This was an eye opener! Never knew coffee beans were initially green! Sorta learned about the different types of leaves that different plants have; but I seemed to have forgotten now.. Oops.. But anyway, Zhang Sheng was the best- it seems as though his PhD in chem is not enough, he wants another PhD in agriculture! This is one inquisitive grad student!
Lunch was late but gratifying, since all of us were hungry. It was my first time eating lobster 'tempura'. Although it was nice, I would prefer daddy's lobster with his homemade sauces anytime!
The waterfall was impressive to the mountain turtle like me. It was not massive, but still managed to win 'wahs' and 'woos' from us. What was hilarious and a bit turn off was the image of pple washing their hair with shampoo at the base of the waterfall.. No comments..
Dinner was at 7pm, but with our stomach still filled from the late lunch, we did not enjoy it as much although it was more sumptuous than lunch. We were all looking forward to the highlight of the night- fireflies gazing! All the necessary preparative work was done before getting into the boat which will ferry us to the fireflies. Some people spraying on insect repellent while others trying to find the best life jacket that will save their precious lives in the event of a capsize... Cute to hear the squabbling about the best life jacket..
The moon was round and bright, with many stars twinkling beside it. This made seeing the fireflies a little harder.. The anticipation was rewarded when the boatman maneuvered nearer to the mangrove trees and the fireflies. Synchronised flickering of the many fireflies! Nice!

We were told that the fireflies survive by sucking the sap of certain mangrove trees, thus they are found in this particular spot of Kota Tingi. And according to Belinda, the male fireflies are brighter and flick faster than the females and they are eaten up by the females after mating! Linking to the knowledge of male flowers dying after they pollinate the female flowers(we learned this earlier the day at the fruit farm), we all concluded that females are more important in nature. Since humans are also part of nature, that should be the case too, right? Haha..

Well, the short trip ended with the fireflies and we were finally on our way home. As much as I enjoyed myself, I looked forward to home sweet home to nurse my nose and my throat. Too bad Mimi and Lulu were not there, if not it would have been much more fun! Maybe we should do something like this again someday!
