Finally. FInaLly. FINALLY!
I have finally passed my driving! Woohoo! On my fifth attempt, no less, and no kidding. Sometimes I am amazed by my own perseverence! Well, I would have gone on and on and on and on...... (u get what I mean) AND ON until I got my driving license! Now that I did it, it is such an immense relieve that I will not have to pay any more money and spend any more time to achieve that license! Phew... A pat on my shoulders for myself, yeah~
The few days before I passed my driving, I went for some refresher lessons. A total of 3 refresher lessons, and I passed! Cool!
To digress a bit, on one of those days after I took my refresher lesson, I went to Lamma's house to meet him 'cos he wanted to meet up for coffee. Who would have guessed that he brought me to his friend's house at Sixth Avenue, to run errands for his friend who was then abroad. Apart from the fact that the house was simply amazing in its decor and spaciousness (not forgetting the pool that I waddled in!), we took his friend's car out for a ride. Not wanting to sound like a materialistic simpleton, yet having no choice - that freaking car is a Jaguaar CONVERTIBLE!!Awww..... Of course we have to drive it out, with the top down, to town for dinner! WOW! That has to be the most liberating experience of my life til today! We have no doubts that people would have thought that we were a couple, and that he must be a uber rich kid! Geez, but we were not bothered abit. In a nutshell, 轻者自清!
I would live in that house if I could. Really nice! I would drive that car if I could. Extremely powerful! Awwww... How wonderful to be able to afford that kind of lifestyle! Nonetheless, I am pretty sure that I will be still happy to drive my first car and live in my first apartment, even if it is not a Jaguaar convert and a Sixth Ave house! Hehe.. We learn to be contented within our means..
Back to the topic of my license - my colleagues actually betted on the number of tries I took to pass my driving test! Some won, some lost. The end result was that I got a free meal. Because the day I took the test was on a Mon (and Su's bday at that-what a wonderful day!), the next day we had stocks meeting. After the meeting, I cancelled the free lunch that I was supposed to have for losing in mj, and went for celebration with my colleagues who supposedly cancelled their appointments for this celebration! The chicken rice that we had at Magaret's Drive, although cheap, was simply delicious! The most important - I HAVE FINALLY PASSED MY DRIVING.
NOTHING TASTE BETTER THAN SUCCESS.
